A big THANK YOU to my readers…this blog got NOMINATED in the Bondage Awards!!!  This was outta left field and I’m pleased as PUNCH about it!  BIG, BIG thank you’s to you, my fans, for nominating this site…very cool!  Here’s my post about the awards from my Yahoo Group…

http://www.bondageawards.com/nominations.asp

Well, now.  They’ve got a preliminary listing up and I must say it’s a good one!  The nominations are in and I’m pleased as punch not only for me, but for several of my friends as well.  Let me be a bit of humble (lol) and start there…

Best Artist was cool to read…I was expecting my buddy Dave Annis to get in, but color me happy as a clam to see that TucsonTied buddy El Coyote was also nominated…CONGRATS, El!

Unlimited Bondage (my parent company) was nominated under Best Company…sweet!

El Coyote also got a nomination under the Best Rigger category…VERY nice!

And a very special congrats going out to The Monk Of Mayhem (who just had a VERY successful shoot with Stacie Snow here at my place just yesterday) for getting nominated for Best Photographer…way to GO, buddy!

The Best Model category had some interesting stuff too…I’d just like to send out a special congrats to my former webmaster, Brooke Tomas, for getting nominated there…congrats, darlin’!  And allow me a bit of humble pride…Stacie Snow got nominated, and with all the sites that she’s currently on, when you click her name on the nominations page, TucsonTied is the one that comes up…that was a sweet sight to behold!  Congrats out to Stacie!!!

Now, let’s talk about me…lol.

I got nominated in SEVERAL categories:

Best Rigger
Best Photographer
Best Paysite
Best Free Site

The “Free Site” was the biggest kick…the TucsonTied BLOG got nominated!!  What an exciting kick; that came totally out of left field and was totally unexpected, but I’m very happy to see it!

You may have noticed that I’m very gung ho about this awards stuff…well, systems have been implimented to try and make this years awards the best they can be and not have the stigma that past years efforts have had.  This has the potential to be the best one ever, so when the formal list is posted, get out there and VOTE!!

One happy producer,

Kinda funny.  Just finished a game for the Super Nintendo System…”A Link to the Past”.  Yah, A “Zelda” game…the third one, I believe.  At any rate, I got to the final boss character (the last villain to fight), and came up short.  Nothing serious, mind…just needed some extra equipment to finish him off.

Left his secret lair (a giant castle, natch), got the supplies I needed, went back and kicked Gannon’s ass…easily.  TOO easily, actually…I was ready to go another 6 rounds or so…lol.

Funny how, in the end, it didn’t come down to skill really to beat the baddie…but SHOPPING.  😉

Pic for your trouble in reading this…Stacie Snow in some hard core “little black dress” restraint.  I gained a new level of respect for her when I edited these pics…

Stacie Snow in TIGHT TucsonTied Bondage

Lookit that ropework…GEEZ! Stacie Snow

Muses.  So, what exactly IS a muse?  A couple of quick web definitions:

1. Greek Mythology Any of the nine daughters of Mnemosyne and Zeus, each of whom presided over a different art or science.2. muse a. A guiding spirit.b. A source of inspiration.

Let me add a third…a “Tony-definition”: “Musing”: strictly in photography, the situation that results for a photographer when he finds a specific model who inspires him to greater heights than even HE thinks he’s capable of.  “Musing” describes his state of mind.  “The photographer has been shooting that girl for 9 months straight…he’s definitely musing on her.”

I coined that phrase myself (at least I THINK I did…lol) after it really sank in that Stacie Snow is a definite “muse” for me; our latest shoot just proved it.

“Mistress” Stacie Snow

An amazing gal, let me tell ya.  Y’know, folks constantly tell me how good I am at the photography stuff, but in my own opinion, I’m a bit of a fraud…lol.  No, that doesn’t mean I do a lot of photoshopping to polish crap into gems of pics, but simply that 90% of what I do is because of the models.  I provide the setting, the camera equipment, the rope and the tying skill, but they provide the magic!  They all inspire me to do the work that I do…without them, well, let’s be honest, I’d be tying up bowls of fruit and how exciting would THAT be?  The inspiration that comes into the work and makes it as magical as it can be all comes from the model I’m working with…when I’m working with the best, I BECOME my best;  which is one of the main reasons I work with Stacie so much.

More than one photographer has noticed that I’m at my best when I work with her…I’ve been given more than one compliment saying that I do my absolute greatest work we shoot.  I don’t know what it is, really…all I know is that when she’s in front of my lens, magic ensues.  Is there any wonder why I enjoy shooting with her?  Heck, even when we’re clowning, I get GREAT stuff…

Goofing off. No, the pull on the crotch rope isn’t for real…we were clowning. 😉 Stacie Snow…and Dave Annis’ hand yanking on the rope. 😉

That was a magical night, to be sure.  Even more interesting was the riot that ensued in the middle of it all…lol.  We were taking a break during shooting, standing outside while Stacie was grabbing a smoke.  Suddenly, chaos ensues, as some fool goes walking by at the other end of the complex.  He was later seen by us (and a crowd of onlookers) being ARRESTED by the Police!  Never found out what the deal was, but the kid was obviously high as a kite.  He kept on resisting arrest…the two police there were finally forced to call in for backup…and what seemed like half of TPD showed up…lol. After some more wrestling (and a judicious amount of pepper spray), he was finally whisked off into the night.   Now…while all this drama’s going on, you wanna know what my biggest concern was?  “Ok, folks…let’s see some ID’s, please,” coming from the police when they asked us for witness statements.  “Well, it’s back at the apartment, officer…” which leads to them following me there…which leads to a door opening revealing ropes and gags spewed about on my carpeted floor…and photography lights blaring.  I can just imagine looking the poor cop in the eye and saying, “What?”  😉  We shot some more…I did a quick frog tie on Stacie:

Frog Tied Stacie Snow

then called it a night.  Well, a MORNING, actually, as we wrapped around 1 am.   Imagine having to go to work 9 hours after wrapping a shoot, and there’s no possibility of sleep in sight!  I think I finally crashed somewhere around 3 am…and went to work at 10!   I was still bright eyed and full of fire and pep, tho…that’s just how great I feel after shooting with this gal.

“Musing”.  Yup, that’d be me.  😉

What a FUN day!  Spent some time communing with the Arizona desert today.  Y’think I’d remember to wear a hat, but noooo.  Ah, well…the redness on my skullcap’ll go down in a few days, followed by some AWESOME peeling!  Exciting, that.  😉

Well, it’s not bondage, but wanna see a few pics I took?  If anything, it’ll prove to all you mooks that still seem to think that Tucson still exists in Italy by spelling it “Tuscon” that I am in fact in a DESERT here!!!  😉  The desert landscape is still lovely tho…just wanted to share a shot or three.  And we even got to see one of these guys…

Yes, that’s a rattlesnake.

It was a case of us just running into each other.  Lola, ElCoyote and I were hiking out to the spot where he was gonna take pics of her, and we all heard the rattle.  We froze, and this guy came out of the bushes and strolled past us while we all watched him…CLOSELY.  Scary movie, but not as scary as it could’ve been…as soon as we were all aware of each other, he just went on his merry way, and so did we.  There was no “strike” in his posture; he was as surprised at us as we were at him.  Kinda an uneventful event…lol…and a good thing!

Dunno if you all find desert landscape beautiful, but I do…I was taking a lot of cactus pics.  This is a Saguaro cactus…if I remember right, some of the desert’s biggest, if not THE biggest species out here, living for sometimes hundreds of years.  And if you want something to show you the size…

That’s a full-sized Lola walking by one of the catcii.  Check the height on that bad boy, huh?

Just a dog-faced cactus.  Kinda cool, no?  😉 In case you’re wondering why I’m not putting up any of Lola’s shots from her shoot…well, those’re kind of El Coyote’s shots.  You’ll be able to see what he and Lola cooked up once his membership site gets up and running (WATCH THIS SPACE…I’ll keep ya informed).  But since you were nice blog readers and put up with my nature walk (lol), here’s a bondage shot of Lola in my best TucsonTied ropework…

Lola Lynn

Hope you enjoyed the nature walk!

I kinda sorta want this. I mean…I’m not even really sure why. When these things’ve gone on for the last 3 1/2 years I’ve been doing my site, I hadn’t really thought about it much. I mean, what is The Bondage Awards, really? OK…it’s a bit of a contest.

There’s several categories…I figure I’m good for “best rigger” or “best paysite”…maybe even “best photographer”. Or only one of those categories….I dunno.

That’s where you, my fans, come in. I’m hoping that you can give me your vote in this contest. This is only a nominating stage at the moment…to be frank, I’d be happy just to get NOMINATED…lol. They keep missing me for some reason…and I keep forgetting to ask for a re-count and a check for non-falling “chads”. 😉 Seriously…drift by their site, and give ol’ Tolstoy a nod in the contest. Vote for me if you can…I’d appreciate it. 😀

Off to vote for some of my faves myself…

From my writings at Fetlife:

Ooooo, boy.

You’re probably wondering what that means…”Triskaidekaphobia”? Big word to be sure…hey, they don’t call me “Tolstoy” for nothing; even my fears have big, long definitions…lol.

Here’s what Wikipedia says: Triskaidekaphobia (from Greek tris meaning “3,” kai meaning “and,” and deka meaning “10”) is fear of the number 13; it is a superstition and related to a specific fear of Friday the 13th, called paraskevidekatriaphobia or friggatriskaidekaphobia.

Yup…I don’t like 13’s too much. If I even have something close to a 13, like 87 cents (13 away from a dollar), I’ll discard a penny just to stay away from it. It’s a funny and odd fear and has caused me many a laugh…but I still have it to some degree.

So…the other day when Stacie Snow was shooting with another producer and I was there acting as an assistant, she and I set up her and my next one. Once we were finished setting the time and date, she made me aware of two very frightning facts:

We’re set to work again April THIRTEENTH…for our THIRTEENTH shoot together. That’s TWO thirteens at the same time here, people!!! Yeesh.

I didn’t tell her at the time, but I felt a chill go down my back when she said that. It rapidly passed, due to the fact that Stacie and I are set to go on what will be yet another successful shoot. Still…I have to wonder…what the heck’s gonna happen?!

Will it be like the first custom video I shot…the camera kept malfunctioning to the point I wasn’t even sure I could complete the thing? Will all the planets align and cause cosmic chaos throught the world…no, wait, that’s 2012, right? 😉 Will my camera explode while I’m holding it? Come to think of it, that happens regularly; every time I shoot with Stacie, the camera explodes from the great imagery that we create together. Will I read too much into this and create a subconcious situation?

The last one sounds plausable. 😉

Reading too much into this yet again, I know…but I still have to wonder. Wish me luck and great pics….oh, and it’s gonna be the “all fetish” shoot with Stacie in leather and such. Should be fun!!!
