  1. Ah, come on, don’t feel bad. Video games all-nighters are some of my fondest memories ever. And besides, 2 in 48 years, that’s a quite good batting average I’d say 🙂

    • Don’t know how much you know about Fallout 3 and it’s expansion packs; I was playing “Mothership Zeta”, which is basically stopping an alien invasion of the Earth. One minute you’re a “Wasatelander” living in a “Road Warrior” kind of existance, the next, you’re on a starship fighting aliens. I wanted my character back on Earth and this DLC pack ended. That night. Which, led into that DAY, really. 😉

I know it’s only supposed to be about 3-4 hours of entertainment, but my character was WAY under-leveled for the challenge, and Fallout 3’s level designs are so labnrinthyian, that I get lost almost as easily as I breathe. Plus, who knew you had to blow up a wall to continue on??? I’m calling “unfair level design” on that one as there were no hints leading me to see that I had to do that…bless the Internet and Wiki’s. 🙂

This WILL be a VERYY fond memory, tho…one of my best, if somewhat frustrating at times, night/day of gaming EVER. 🙂

  2. Greetings from Texas,
I never pulled an all nighter gaming. Nothing against it, just not my thing. I’ve done a couple of them on writing projects. I think my first was one evening when a friend from school showed up at my door with a bread bag full of gun parts. It was a broomhandle mauser that belonged to his father-in-law. Taking it apart seemed like a good idea until he tried to put it back together.

I had never touch a broomhandle in my life, but grew up around guns. By the time we finally got the thing back together, with no spare parte, the sun was up. I had just enough time to put on a freash shirt and get to class. Skipping that day was not an option.

    Good times!
