So. The thing inside the toilet that connects to a chain and brings the flapper off the drain inside of a toilet? Broke on me this morning. So, what did I do to hold me over until Thursday, when I have enough free time after work to go and get a new one? Tied a rope off to the chain and fed it through the hole in the bowl where the handle would be if it weren’t broken. Works, too. 🙂 the rope skillz come in handy in sooooo many off ways… 😛

Tony, I recently had the handle break off on mine! When I have some free time, I need to go buy a new handle and trip lever (that’s the rod that attaches to the handle and chain). I just reach in the tank and pull out the lift chain, myself….
