Had the WEIRDEST dream early this morning. :/ I was in a “father” type situation (either naturally a father or a step-father) to a young son around 10. My boy gets gifted a car from his older sister and she insists that she’s gonna allow him to drive it…mind you, “drive it” not meaning test drive in a secluded area, but in TRAFFIC, regularly, like we adults do. :/ I put my foot down and say “no”, naturally…tempers are flaring, but in the midst of all that, I take the time to do some car re-arranging and moving mine from the driveway to put the new car there. While I’m doing this…WHAM; in backing my car out, I t-bone the new car. 🙁 The 10 year old throws a FIT naturally…and I wake up. Weirdest part was the location…this all happened in the family home I grew up in, which I moved out of around a decade or so. :/ Maybe, in the dream-space, I touched an alternate reality where I never found bondage, got married and pro-created? 😛

By the by, I did wind up installing “capcha”, but configured it so that it only comes into play when someone signs up for the first time. Result? “New Membership” e-mails PLUMMETED…lol. In conclusion, I have a lot of “bots” running around here, it would seem. :/ Now mind you, I know I have real people signed up as well, don’t get me wrong, but wow. So, it turned out to be a good thing that I installed it. :/

I have bought a 1/1000 scale model of the USS Enterprise from the first Star Trek movie and am gonna attempt to do her up right. I’m not what you might call “skilled” at this, but it’s fun nonetheless. I’ll show her off once I finish. 🙂

Aw, Lord. :/ WordPress just put out a “Capcha” option for me as a blog holder. Meaning, I could make you all do a word test before a post goes to the blog. 🙁 I f’ckin’ HATE those things! I don’t know about you all, but I always seem to miss at those at least once when I’m trying to post…and some of them even wipe out the post you were trying to make before you missed.
Rest assured, there will be no “capcha” (or whatever it’s called) attached to posting to the blog. However, I do see one instance where it might be useful, and that’s with sign-ups to the blog. I have some nights where my e-mail inbox associated with this blog ex-fuckin’-plodes with new membership e-mails (“this e-mail address” is a new membership on your TucsonTied blog…that sort of thing); I do tend to wonder how many are people and how many are bots created by spammers hoping to post spam comments to the blog. :/ That’s the only place I might consider it; I’ll have to evaluate further. I’d like the membership of this blog to be PEOPLE, thank you…lol.
Off to scope things out…have a shot of Nyxon. He may “not have been a crook” (yeah, right), but it’s criminal just how beautiful this woman is. 🙂

I’m gradually re-discovering Facebook as a result of my cross postings…it’s been fun! I keep in touch with a gal here and there thru it…had a fun discussion with one the other day about Fallout 3 of all things. 🙂 So…think I’m gonna head out for a bit today…my skin is starting to whiten again, which seems completely off the wall to me as this is summer in AZ…just being an Arizonan means sun time. :/ I’ve been inside too much…pffft….lol. Maybe a little food shopping and not much else.

Bleh. I wish my shooting schedule were a little fuller…it’s a dry as an Arizona desert at the moment. 🙁 I told you about a new gal…well, Ella was out of town for the rest of this month doing shoots, so I’m in the process of waiting for her to return. I interviewed another gal recently who fits “girl next door” to a “T”…but as I write this, she’s mulling over the decision to model or not; time will tell. So that leaves me in a touch of a dry spell until early next month. :/
Had these happen before and will have them happen again, but I do hate the dry spells. 🙁 Why don’t we get thru it with a fantastic shot of Stacie Snow and Sasha Fae?

It’s a moot issue now, with Micro$oft removing the “always online” thing from the “XBone”, but I just re-came across an old argument from one of their execs that just had me scratching my head…

“Orthy” is Microsoft exec Adam Orth…and “dealwithit”? REALLY? See why I don’t go on Twitter anymore…it’s just the adult kindergarten playground; the perfect place to bash everyone. Anyway…I will say this: yes; my PS3 is always on and always connected to the Internet…as is my PC and a bunch of other devices. My BluRay player can connect…but I need the connection to be wired or get some kind of part from Panasonic to do it thru the air. Yes, indeed…many devices are connected 24-7…but they don’t have the potential for shutting down or partially not functioning if a “check” once every 24 hours was established. And I can play my games offline for more than one hour/one day (can’t remember which restriction it was…it was one or the other). :/ Plus, the outright douchebaggery in this guy’s response…and he’s an EXEC with M$? GAWD; talk about a colossal missing of the point!
Like I say…moot point as they’ve now removed that necessary check-in…it’s just the outright attitude of M$’s higher-ups that’s just astounding…and he’s not the only one. Hopefully, he got a talking-to because of this. Again…he’s essentially correct; but the attitude on display? REALLY?!
UGH. The whole thing just crossed my mind today and I searched it out; I tend to think of leaders as being represenatives of a company, especially when going out into the world…if this is the way all M$ execs act; God help that company. :/ All right…let’s brighten it up with some Lexi Richelle. 🙂
EDIT: Did some further digging…Orith has voluntarily left M$ after this shitstorm erupted. Props to him for doing the right thing. 🙂

If you’ve ever wondered why I misspell “fcuk”…that’s Stacie Snow. Stacie gave me a few others besides that one; but I can’t think of them offhand.

It would seem that Micro$oft backpedaled a little bit. Renting games restrictions? Gone. Mandatory on-line restriction? Gone. Once in a 24 hour period check-in? Gone. You can only play offline for a 1 hour? Gone. Sharing games restrictions? Gone as well. 🙂 I haven’t heard about the “Orwellian” Kinect restriction as yet…gotta do some more research on that (And that fcuking creeps me out…it’s a camera that’s in my home and is connected to Micro$oft? Would it watch whatever I do??? Brrrrr.); hopefully, that’s gone as well. It would seem that M$ has listened to the fans (and the ok, but not so great, pre-order sales of the “XBone”), and decided to do something to make their image a touch better. The implimentation of it leaves me a touch cold, tho…
It’s a “patch”. :/ Meaning, that when you buy an XBone on release day, once it’s set up and functioning, it still has those restrictions on it…you have to download a patch that eliminates all of the above I mentioned. Huh. Like I titled this…”interesting”. What if they decide to “unpatch” it in the future and when you download a system upgrade, the restrictions get slapped on there? Not likely to happen, mind you…but the paranoid fucker that I am has to wonder. And I still wonder about the future of the system. You pay $500 for it and they have servers dedicated to it…what happens when the “XBOX 2” gets devoloped and they decide to pull server support for the “One”; do you now own a $500 brick where gaming is concerned? It would seem not, as the machine no longer needs to check in and such…but what about that Kinect? If it needs a mandatory Kinect and they pull server support for that camera…?????
Admittedly, this is all wild speculation by yours truly, and I could be miles away from the point, but color these “concerns”. We’ll see what the future brings. MAJOR props to M$ for undoing the worst business choices the company ever made in it’s history…we’ll see what the future holds. 🙂
