Just bought two older movies from Amazon…two classics worlds apart. George Romero’s original “Dawn Of The Dead”…with the survivors trapped in a mall. The ORIGINAL, now…I got the curiously-tamer, even-the-director’s-cut version by Zack Snyder of DC movie fame recently, and it gave me a hunger (bad play on words!) to see the original. When I was reading the box on the remake, I was expecting to see wall-to-wall gore in it, but was really disappointed in that regard, but otherwise it was a solid movie. Tho the plot with the mall security guards being assholes and locking the heroes up was stupid. :/
The better of the two I ordered was “The Eyes Of Laura Mars” with Faye Dunaway and Tommy Lee Jones…kick ass thriller set inside the vanilla model and photographer world…Faye is a photog who starts to be able to see all of her friends being brutally killed…from the killer’s point of view (hence “The EYES of Laura Mars”). Really, REALLY good movie; if you haven’t, check both of these movies out!
Aaaaaanyway…looks like the wings are gonna be late again; some asshole named TolstoyTony kidnapped, tied and gagged the Hooter’s waitress, Emily Addison, again. There ought’a be a law. 😛
